FAQ

Common questions about peptides and using PepStack

Is PepStack medical advice?

No. PepStack is an educational research platform. All peptide profiles include evidence tiers and PubMed citations so you can review the evidence with a healthcare provider. We use cautious language like "research suggests" because that is what the science supports. Always consult a qualified provider before acting on peptide-related information.

How are evidence tiers determined?

We use a 5-tier system: Tier 1 (FDA-approved), Tier 2 (late-stage clinical -- Phase 3 trials completed), Tier 3 (early-stage clinical -- Phase 1/2 trials completed), Tier 4 (limited human data), Tier 5 (animal studies only -- no completed human trials). Importantly, a tier rating reflects how far a compound progressed in clinical testing, not whether it worked. We use separate efficacy badges to indicate whether trials met their primary endpoints. Every claim links to its PubMed source so you can verify the evidence yourself.

Do you sell peptides?

No. PepStack provides cited research summaries, safety context, and source links. We do not sell, distribute, or recommend purchasing any peptide or research chemical.

Is PepStack free?

PepStack is currently free to use. We are developing premium features including biomarker organization and research workspace tools. Sign up for the waitlist to be notified when premium features launch.

How often is the database updated?

We continuously review new PubMed publications and update peptide profiles as new research becomes available. Each profile shows its last-updated date.
